Honestly, she isn't that aloof. She just lacks the skill to talk to anyone. She doesn't know how to communicate herself, too nervous to talk to anyone. When she does talk, it's often in a formal manner. Add her accent to the mix, and it's very hard to understand her.

Her lack of knowledge makes her eager to learn about other things. She has a wide variety of interests and reads often on them. She asks many questions, once she's comfortable enough with you. Solone also enjoys hands on experience.

Solone grew up in the East on a lonely island, its climate being hot and humid. This land was cut in half by a large river running through the middle. Her family and other people who wished to live quietly lived on the southern side of the river, where the jungle flourished. By contrast, the north of the river was a bustling tourist attraction, full of lights and noises.
An only child, she lived with a gentle mother and a strong-willed father. Growing up in a “temple” of sorts, she was introduced to many traditions passed down her family. This temple was not a worship, yet it contained spirits. Her mother healed those who were spiritually ill or claimed to be haunted by malicious spirits. Many ceremonies and rituals went on inside the household. Her father was the workman of the family. If there was anything to be done, most likely, you could find him doing it. He didn’t approve of technology at all, not allowing anything digital in the house. They were a very traditional family.
Her father guarded Solone almost jealously, refusing her requests to go and explore their surroundings. He tried to shield her from all the evils, wanting her to never get hurt. He had to know where she was at all times, especially since she was attacked by a wild Persian and Meowth. Ever since then, she had been afraid of animals. Solone’s right eye was damaged. She was still able to see, but everything was very fuzzy. She decided to cover her eye up, as part of her shrine robes. This made her depth perception worse, and she was clumsy for a little bit. After working very hard to become graceful again, she figured out that she could use Psychic to sense objects around her. She could now move without bumping into everything every couple of steps, although she still moved carefully. Her mother helping her to recover, decided that allowing Solone to come with her in herb hunts would improve her senses. She taught Solone many things, like identifying plants, brewing tea, flower arranging, and many other skills that she would need to become a healer. Solone just wasn’t interested. She enjoyed these customs that her family had, helping these troubled people, but she was getting bored of same old things, day by day. All these scrolls and texts she read spoke of a new experience, and she began to crave to explore some place new. She longed to finally step outside and see the world. The life of the city across the river started to attract her. She began to brush her father off, and daydreamed often during her lessons. Feeling rebellious, she ventured farther and farther from the temple.
One day, her mother and father confronted her. She explained that she loved them both, and no, she was not mad at father, but they simply just could not keep her here any longer! She was sick of being trapped in a cage. Packing only what was essential, she was surprised as her parents offered her a percentage of their savings. Thanking them profusely, she left the only home she had ever known. She promised to visit when she could and talk to them often. She began to drift around, traveling both the jungle and the city when she came to rest at a port. From a sailor she met, he talked about a chain of islands, rich of soil and prosperous farming. Even the Harvest God and Goddess showed up there! These islands were called Raccolto in whole. Intrigued by these stories, she found a boat that would take her there. Since she wanted to save her money, she would work in exchange for the trip. After 2 weeks on sea, she finally arrived at Raccolto, and decided to live in a quiet, secluded place near the Sacred Isles. Rapture Retreat was the perfect choice.

Not your average cat, really. It seems that he has a second stomach for a brain. Alkal does a lot of goofy things and loves everyone! But due to Solone’s irrational fear of both animals, she hasn’t warmed up to him yet. She’s (barely) cared enough feed him, so perhaps that'll change...
